Friday June 20, TAG's Monthly Luncheon Meeting

Join us on June 20 for a presentation by Dr. Hart Hodges of the WWU College of Business and Economics' Center for Economic and Business Research. Dr. Hodges will present on the topic "Whatcom By the Numbers, a review of the current economic conditions in Bellingham and Whatcom County". Dr. Hodges will discuss current indicators of the local economy - including demographic and workforce issues. He will also highlight several items related to economic development and factors that affect the local economy and technology sector. There will be time for questions and discussion following the presentation.

This will be a popular meeting so please RSVP by clicking as soon as possible.

Date and Time: Friday, June 20 from 12:00 - 1:15 pm. 

Location: DIS building at 1315 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham, WA

Cost: Free for members, $10.00 at door for non-members to cover lunch.

If you are a developer or otherwise interested in .Net technologies consider attending The Bellingham .NET Users Group's meetings. This user group is focused on providing support in the Bellingham area for Microsoft's .NET technologies and meet monthly.

'Maintaining Innovation in an Insecure World'
This presentation will provide a case study of Logos Bible Software's effort to become PCI compliant and focus on the importance of maintaining an open and innovative spirit in an insecure world. This will include a brief discussion of network and application architecture,  general information on the security solutions implemented at Logos, and how security best practices pay for themselves.
