Tech Stomp logoBellingham, WA 07/18/08 - On Wednesday August 6th  from 5:30PM-9PM TAG, the Technology Alliance Group will hold its fourth annual summer fest, Tech Stomp in Bellingham. Tech Stomp celebrates the progress and impact of technology companies in our region. Executives and supporters of Washington's technology industries mingle in the beautiful waterfront setting of the Squalicum Boathouse.  Fun activities and excellent networking opportunities make this the premier summer event to continue building the technologies community in this corner of Washington.

The event features a brief keynote address from Jim Darling, Executive Director of the Port of Bellingham who will provide a brief update on the evolving Waterfront Project including visual displays. TAG Chairman Paul Grey will outline the accomplishments of the previous year; including stories from students previously awarded scholarships from Tech Stomp proceeds.  Attendees can enjoy wine from Chuckanut Ridge, and delicious hors d'oeuvres from Fools Onion Catering.  The Walrus band will entertain us with their rich and sizzling musical arrangements on tunes by Beatles, Queen, the Eagles, and more.

The event also features a bocce ball tournament as well as a contest for the best Hawaiian outfits, shirts and muumuus, with prizes for style, substance and daring! The event is open to the public and admission is $15 at the door. RSVP by emailing aehnmark@tagnw.org or calling 360-647-4220.

Net proceeds from Tech Stomp 2008 will go to the TAG Scholarship Fund, which grants scholarships to students in technology fields attending colleges in Whatcom County.
